My art is rooted in and inspired by the idyllic rural surroundings of my hometown in Missouri.  As much as I am driven to recreate the emotional ties of these landscapes, I am also compelled to use bold and vibrant color combinations in my work.  For me these vivid color selections are exhilarating and add a sense of the magical and mystical that surrounded my childhood years in rural America.
